wip, i need more painting practice before i start on this one commission

i spent the whole day yesterday taking screenshots on skyrim for painting practice and i picked one that had horrible lighting woops

Magnificient mocap in Maya

In class, we learned how to use mocap on a character 

The first clip was the original animation.

The second one was my own attempt at transferring the animation on another character…. I then called the teacher who told me that the character looks like Edward Scissorhands…

The third one was the teacher’s try… 

And the last one was when I restarted everything…..

i wanted to draw ulfric and was scared to mess him up so i almost didn’t draw himi forced myself to do it and i’m glad i did because it doesn’t look half as bad as i thought it would.

not sure i like the new megas. i picked my fav of the three and doodled it though.

I fixed the gloss problem and reduced the normal map… It looks much better. I might try to up the normal map a tiny little bit (or just do a whole new normal map actually… not fond of the one i have.)

i ended up not following my concept much because i didn’t want to wanter far from another retexture mod i got for the regular wolf armor but the main textures are here. I just need to rework the normal map a bit and work on the spec texture because woah that’s glossy

i’ll do gauntlets and boots some other day. for now i just did a light version of them with the already existing heavy ones lol
